Banten Earthquake Damaged A Number Of Houses In Sukabumi Regency

SUKABUMI - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sukabumi Regency noted that several houses in Sukabumi Regency, West Java were damaged by the M5.9 earthquake which was centered in Regency, Bayah, Banten.

"There were 10 damaged houses ranging from mild to severe categories due to the earthquake that occurred on Wednesday morning at around 07.53 WIB," said Sukabumi Regency BPBD Public Relations official Sandra Fitria, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 3.

As for the details of the damage caused by the earthquake with M5.9 in Sukabumi Regency, one house was moderately damaged on the roof in Parungseah Berong Village, RT 05/04, Parungseah Village, Sukabumi District.

Then one house in Genteng Village, RT 06/06, Lembursawah Village, Cicantayan District was lightly damaged in the ceiling. One house in Cikawung Village, RT 04/03, Babakanpanjang Village, Nagrak District suffered minor damage to the walls.

Furthermore, three houses in Pasireurih Village, RT04/03, Cihamerang Village, Kabandungan District were moderately damaged. One house was heavily damaged in the kitchen in Ciaul Village, RT 05/02, Mekarjaya Village, Kabandungan District.

A house collapsed in Bantarkalong Village, RT 02/01, Hegarmanah Village, Warungkiara District and one house collapsed in Tegalnyampai Village, RT 05/02, Loji Village, Simpenan District and one house was moderately damaged in Kampung Tangkil, RT 10/8, Cicareuh Village, Cikidang District.
