One Of The Five Satpol PP Gangs In Front Of Plaza Indonesia Turns Out To Be A Member Of The IKBT Ormas

The five perpetrators of the beating of two Central Jakarta Satpol PP officers have become suspects. The five turned out to have different roles. The main perpetrator of the beating is known to have the initials BD (35) who is also a member of the IKBT mass organization.

"Suspect BD played a role in hitting the victim," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro to VOI at the scene, Wednesday, January 3.

While the other four suspects with the initials SR (34) pushed the victim, SM (35) withdrew the victim, AS (40) played a role in attracting the victim and LH (41) played a role in encouraging the victim.

"These five people are not mass organizations, only one member of the IKBT mass organization," he said.

The five suspects were arrested by members of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim after the victim made an official report at the Menteng Metro Police.

"The suspect was arrested about 6 hours after (the victim) made a report. The perpetrator's clothes were confiscated and CCTV footage. We are detaining the five suspects today," he said.

Previously, it was reported that two Central Jakarta Satpol PP officers were beaten by a group of alleged Tanah Abang thugs who took place in front of Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, last Sunday, December 31. The incident was recorded by an amateur camera and suddenly went viral on social media.

Based on a 10-second video circulating on social media, two people in uniform were seen being pushed and beaten by a group of people suspected of being Tanah Abang thugs.

From the @chibob sport account, the incident began when IKBT sterilized pedestrian evacuation routes for New Year's Eve from traders trading on the sidewalk. Satpol PP officers even allowed trade traders on the evacuation route.

"There was a verbal altercation.. they arrogantly attacked the regional child... Pay attention to the initial video... The regional child said what you were doing because you felt pushed and hit... IKBT members are neutral in separating," wrote the account, Tuesday, January 2.
