"Today we are reviewing flood control locations along the upstream Citarum, the goal is to find out the flood control infrastructure because the BMKG estimates that in January February it will be the peak of the rainy season and I think it has been very well done by BBWS Citarum, and this all reduces 81 percent of the threat of flooding in Baleendah Dayeuhkolot and Andir," said Bey at the Nanjung Tunnel, Bandung Regency, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 2. Bey said these locations are often flood subscriptions and have now decreased by 81 percent, even if there was a flood it would not be as long as and as extreme as the previous period. "Don't litter, because those places may be reduced, but because in other places residents litter until the water channel is blocked by garbage, there could also be flooding. So (floods are avoided) if everything runs well or protects the environment together," said Bey. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the peak of the rainy season is expected to last until mid-February or the end of February 2024, although this did not happen simultaneously.

Based on the analysis of the Seasonal Zone (ZOM), it is also known that 52 percent of regions in Indonesia have entered the rainy season. In Kalimantan in particular, high rainfall in various areas is projected to occur from January to April.
