Build Cisarantan Flats In Arcamanik, Bandung City Government: Pilot Project For KPBU Scheme Development

JABAR - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) signed a MoU or Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of PUPR regarding cooperation related to the construction of the Cisaranten Bina Harapan Flats (Rusun).

Bandung City Regional Secretary (Sekda) Ema Sumarna said the development was a synergy between the government and providing livable housing for Low-Income Communities (MBR).

"The Cisarantan Bina Harapan Flat is President Joko Widodo's priority program. We should be proud because the city of Bandung is a development pilot project whose financing is carried out through the KPBU (Government Cooperation and Business Entity) scheme under the Ministry of PUPR," Ema said in Bandung, Thursday, December 28, quoted by Antara.

He revealed, this flat is not only about physical development, but also about changing the reality of life for those who need decent housing.

"This is a real step to create inclusiveness and equality for all residents of Bandung City," he said.

Ema hopes that the target for housing around 1,800 can be used by the community as a proper place to live.

"We hope that 8,000 people who occupy this building will be given proper facilities and be able to improve the welfare of the community," said Ema.

Meanwhile, the Director of Housing Financing, Ministry of PUPR, Haryo Bekti Martoyoedo hopes that the development plan will be able to provide supporting facilities for residents, especially the need for clean water.

"One part of this agreement is clean water facilities and waste water support," he said.

He said the construction of the Cisaranten Simple Flats in Bina Harapan was President Jokowi's priority program in the implementation of the KPBU project.

"The PUPR Ministry has prepared the Cisaranten Bina Harapan KPBU Project as a pilot project to reduce the housing backlog according to the 2020-2024 RPJMN target," he said.

The Cisaranten Bina Harapan Flat was built on an area of about 3.2 hectares belonging to the Ministry of PUPR which is located on Jalan Golf Raya, Cisaranten Bina Harapan Village, Arcamanik District, Bandung City which is a connecting road between two arterial roads, namely Jl AH Nasution and Jl Soekarno-Hatta.
