Jokowi Adds Quota For 3 Months Of CBP Food Assistance

MANADO - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will add a three-month quota for Government Rice Reserve food assistance (CBP) in 2024.

"The 10 kilograms of rice assistance per month for Beneficiary Families (KPM), not only until the end of 2023, but will continue for the next three months," said President Jokowi during his visit to Manado, North Sulawesi (Sulut), reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 28.

President Jokowi ensured that the quota for January, February, and March 2024, would soon be distributed and hoped that the rice aid would be useful for the community.

This rice food aid, continued President Jokowi, if the APBN budget is still possible, it will continue until April, March, and June 2024.

"But, I'll check first, I haven't promised, if our budget is still possible, it will definitely be distributed," said President Jokowi.

Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini said that the additional quota for the next three months is under President Jokowi's authority. If assigned, he said, it would be carried out.

"I can't confirm yet, later when there is an order from the President of the Republic of Indonesia," said Social Minister Risma.

For recipients whose names no longer exist, said the Minister of Social Affairs, based on an assessment in the area of life that is considered better.
