Map Landslide Prone Points, Bengkulu Provincial Government Prepares Heavy Equipment For Christmas And New Year Holidays

BENGKULU - Bengkulu Provincial Government (Pemprov) has alerted a number of heavy equipment to anticipate landslides during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

"We have mapped which roads are prone to landslides, a joint integrated post has been established, but we have prepared heavy equipment at the center of the provincial government), not at the location. When there are reports that they are directly deployed to the location," said Head of the PUPR Office of North Bengkulu Province Tejo Suroso, Thursday. Sekda Provinsi Bengkulu Isnan Fajri mengatakan Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Bengkulu siap bersinergi dan berkolaborasi dengan TNI-Polri, terutama dalam keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat (Kamtibmas) dalam gelaran Operasi Lilin Nala 2023."Sehingga benar-benar Bengkulu ini selama Natal dan Tahun Baru kondusif, aman dan tidak terjadi lagi kejadian seperti tahun sebelumnya. Beberapa tempat juga menjadi perhatian khusus kami bersama TNI-Polri, seperti di Pantai Panjang agar tidak menimbulkan korban lagi," kata Sekda Isnan.Isnan Fajri menyebutkan di titik-titik tersebut juga akan ditempatkan personil dari Pemprov Bengkulu, mulai dari jajaran Satpol PP, Dishub dan BPBD yang nantinya mengingatkan wisatawan supaya selalu waspada saat berwisata."Termasuk objek-objek wisata yang selama ini jadi biang kemacetan, seperti di jalan lintas Kepahiang-Rejang Lebong karena jalannya sempit. Minimal kami antisipasi supaya tidak terlalu macet dengan kami standby-kan petugas Dishub Provinsi Bengkulu dan kabupaten," ujarnya.
