1,640 Satpol PP Personnel Guard New Year's Eve 2024 In Jakarta

JAKARTA - A total of 1,640 Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) personnel maintain the security of DKI Jakarta to anticipate disturbances of peace and public order (trantibum) on New Year's Eve 2024.

"930 personnel will secure the Mudi Mudi Night event Jak Karnival Sudirman-Thamrin. Meanwhile, securing the city or district level new year entertainment event will be secured around 360 personnel," said Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 21.

Arifin said that securing the public space for the new year holiday on January 1, 2024, around 350 personnel of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP will also be alerted. The following is the main location for New Year's celebration activities in DKI Jakarta:

a. Muda Night Mudi Sudirman-Thamrin Area, namely 11 event stages and Jakarnaval Cultural Parade trajectories in the Monas-Sudirman-Thamrin area

b. Administrative City Level Entertainment Stage:

- North Jakarta: Jota Wali's Office

- West Jakarta: Mayor's Office

- South Jakarta: Setu Babakan Jagakarsa

- East Jakarta: OPD Shanghai Cakung

- Thousand Islands: Tidung Island

c. Several crowded areas on New Year's Eve 2024 and New Year's holidays in public spaces:

- Jalan Benyamin Sueb Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta

- Banteng Square, Central Jakarta

- Pantai Indah Kapuk Area, North Jakarta

- Sunter Lake, North Jakarta

- Entrance Access Area of Ancol Dreamland Park, North Jakarta

- Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta

- CNI Kembangan area, West Jakarta

- Old Town Area of West Jakarta

- Ragunan Wildlife Park, South Jakarta

- Barito Bulungan area, South Jakarta

- Kemang area, South Jakarta

- Setu Babakan area, South Jakarta

- East Jakarta Flood Canal Area

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has prepared a series of activities to enliven the 2024 New Year along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin and the National Monument (Monas) area.

"Jakarnaval in the Monas and MH Thamrin areas, Muda Night and New Year celebrations along Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Andhika Permata when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday (20/12).

Andhika said that the DKI Jakarta Disparekraf will make Jakarnaval and young nights to celebrate the 2024 New Year's moment.
