12-Year-Old Boy Selling 2 Pimps In Bandung Gets Legal And Health Assistance

The Bandung Police confirmed that underage girls who were victims of criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO) who were sold to mashers by two pimps AD (18) and DF (24) received legal and health assistance including psychology.

The 12-year-old victim, who is also sexually assaulted by her pimp, will receive intensive assistance from the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the Bandung Police and the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (DP3A).

"For the victims, assistance has been provided from the PPA and Bandung City DP3A," said Bandung Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono in Bandung, Thursday, December 21, confiscated by Antara.

Budi also asked parents in the city of Bandung to supervise their children more when using cell phones. Do not let children be allowed to access social media carelessly.

"Our appeal to parents to always supervise their children's association, supervise the use of cellphones and social media, especially children, should not be allowed to use cellphones alone," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Women and Children Protection Division of the Bandung City DP3A, Yusuf Firmansyah, confirmed that the victim is currently in a stable condition and is currently being treated at home with his parents through assistance by his party.

"After the case was revealed and we made sure the victim's position was safe, we suggested that the victim at home be safe. So we have a safe house to temporarily store female and child victims," said Yusuf.

Yusuf said his party would continue to provide assistance to victims, including ensuring their access to the legal assistance needed.

"Starting from making sure the child feels safe and served, rehab in terms of health, psychological or legal, because we also have the advocate service. So we provide fulfillment of the need for free assistance services," he said.
