JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has started selling the HR-V model RS e: HEV as part of the expansion of the hybrid model marketed in Indonesia.

The variant of RS e: HEV is confirmed to be the highest type of HR-V line in the country and replaces the previous type, namely 1,5L Turbo RS.

Sales and Marketing & Aftersales Director of PT HPM, Yusak Billy said the 1.5L Turbo RS variant was not crowded with enthusiasts caused by a number of factors, one of which was that the value of the tag was considered too expensive.

"The enthusiast is a little bit. Because customers may think the price is expensive," said Billy on the sidelines of the HR-V media drive event in Serang, Banten recently.

Unfortunately, he did not specify the details of how many units were sold to the 1.5L Turbo Hospital.

Nevertheless, Billy is optimistic that the HR-V RS e: HEV as the top variant will get positive interest because the price is much cheaper than the previous type with a difference of Rp. 63 million.

"At that time it was priced at Rp551 million, yes. Now it has decreased by Rp63 million to Rp488 million, we are optimistic that this can be accepted by the community," he added.

According to wholesale data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), the HR-V 1.5L Turbo Hospital has sold 30 units in the January-April period this year.

Meanwhile, in total last year, the car sold 1,006 units with the most sales in February 2024 to 182 units.

The SUV carries a 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine that produces up to 174 hp and 240 Nm torque. Users of this car will also be offered with three driving modes, namely Sport, Normal, and Eco.
