Fallen Tree In Sawah Besar Hits Woman's Head

JAKARTA - A female motorcycle passenger fell victim to a fallen tree while crossing Samanhudi Raya Street, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 18, afternoon.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered head injuries. The victim was hit by a tree and lay on the side of the road. The victim was forced to undergo intensive treatment at the nearest hospital.

The tree fell due to exposure and lack of care from the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service. So that when there is strong wind, the tree trunk is unable to withstand the wind until it finally falls.

In addition to injuring a motorized passenger, a fallen tree also damaged a car that was passing on the road. A 5 meter high tree that fell hit the hood of the car until it was crushed and the windshield broke.

An eye witness to the incident named Djaelani explained that the incident happened very quickly. If no car passes, the victim's motorbike will be badly damaged.

"If there is no car, the motorbike will be crushed. The car used to arrive when the motorbike was new. The motorbike might hit the head of the river, I didn't dare (help), just sit in the wind and ride," Djaelani told reporters, Monday, December 18, afternoon.

At the time of the incident, Djaelani was also scared because he saw strong winds hitting the area.

"The victim hit his head. The one who got one. He was riding a ride, the one with a ride, the girl. The boy was okay," he said.
