Solo City Government Starts To Beware Of Mysterious Pneumonia

SOLO - The Surakarta City Government (Pemkot) appealed to residents to be aware of the phenomenon of mysterious pneumonia while still wearing masks in the crowd.

Head of the Health Service Division of the Surakarta City Health Office (Dinkes) Tenny Setyoharini said the public was advised to remain vigilant considering that there were no restrictions on community mobilization between regions and between countries.

"Thus, it is better to keep wearing masks in the crowd," said Tenny, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, December 17.

In addition, he also asked people who feel unwell to immediately check themselves at the nearest health service facility.

"Especially if you feel cough, runny nose, fever, and chest pain accompanied by shortness of breath. Thus, you can immediately confirm your health condition," said Tenny Setyoharini.

He also asked if residents found common characteristics such as cough, runny nose, chest pain, shortness of breath, and fever, to immediately report and access health services.

"Later on, it will be confirmed that the symptoms will enter a regular cough or lung infection or pneumonia," said Tenny Setyharini.

According to him, if something happens, it can be detected as early as possible and handled quickly and appropriately.

Although he continued to appeal, he said that until now the case had not been recorded in the city of Solo.

"However, we still ask residents not to underestimate. Good behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic should be continued, such as washing hands with soap," said Tenny Setyoharini.
