A Teenage Boy At Pasar Rebo Dies Stimulated When His House Burns This Morning

JAKARTA - A young man named Reza (20) was found burned to death during a fire in the house of a resident of Jalan Raya Kalimantan 1, Gedong Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta, Thursday, December 14, morning.

Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman confirmed the death toll when a fire broke out that hit a resident's house. According to eyewitnesses, initially it was seen that thick smoke from the front room and suddenly there had been a large enough lighting on the inside.

"One person died, male, and died," said Gatot when confirmed, Thursday, December 14.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been caused by a short circuit from electricity in the house. Then the sparks spread and grew.

"The object that burned the house with a burned area of 500 square meters," he said.

At least 14 fire engines were deployed to extinguish the fire. Gatot also deployed 65 members to the fire site.

"Currently, fire cooling is still being carried out, the status is yellow. The loss is estimated at IDR 500 million due to the fire," he said.

Until now, firefighters are still struggling to cool the fire at the fire site.
