Joint Officers For Dismantling Restaurants At RTH Gadobangkong Palabuhanratu

SUKABUMI - Dozens of joint officers dismantled the Basis Kitchen restaurant which stands in the Gadobangkong Green Open Space (RTH) area, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

"The demolition of this building is in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) by giving warnings three times, but the owner of the building does not heed our warnings, so firm action needs to be taken," said Head of Enforcement of Regional Regulations and Career Development of Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) of the Sukabumi Regency Transportation Office, Yusef Wahyu Kodara, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 12.

According to Yusef, his party has warned building owners to dismantle it themselves, because of its presence on the land in green open space.

However, until the deadline that has been determined according to the 3rd warning letter or for 21 days from the first warning letter is issued, the owner of the building still does not dismantle it.

Therefore, his party took firm action by forcibly dismantling the Basis Kitchen building.

The demolition involved dozens of joint personnel from the Satpol PP and the Sukabumi Regency Transportation Service, assisted by TNI-Polri personnel.

"This firm action is in accordance with the SOP based on the warning letter sent by the Sukabumi Regency Transportation Agency by giving the building owner a grace period of 21 days to immediately dismantle it, but the warning was not heeded so we had to take firm action," he added.

Yusef said the former building land in the future would be used as a parking lot to support the existence of RTH Gadobangkong.

On Tuesday, apart from the Basis Kitchen building, several other buildings were demolished, namely prayer rooms and bathrooms. Previously, the Sukabumi Regency Transportation Agency's Regional Technical Service Unit (UPTD) office which was located in green open space had already been dismantled.
