Debat Capres, PLN Prepares 5 Lapis Electricity Needs For KPU

JAKARTA - PLN Jakarta Raya's Main Distribution Unit prepared a 5-layer electricity supply to secure the presidential and vice presidential debates in the 2024 General Election Commission (KPU) building, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.General Manager of PLN Main Distribution Unit Jakarta Raya Lasiran said PLN is ready with electricity supply up to 5 layers to secure the inaugural Vice Presidential Candidate debate at the KPU, of course with various scenarios contained in the SOP. The 5-layer electricity supply comes from PLN, UPS, and the generators that have been tested previously in various simulations. "There are only 3 electrical supplies from PLN sources, namely 1 main supply and 2 reserve supplies," Lasiran said in his statement, Tuesday 12 December. Furthermore, Lasiran said the 4th electricity supply came from the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and the 5th back up, namely from the generator.

PLN UID Jakarta Raya has coordinated with the KPU and conducted simulation tests on the electricity scenario that has been made. KPU electricity preparation in the context of the 2024 General Election has been prepared for 6 months before the implementation with 5 strengthening steps, namely inspection of electricity distribution substations, maintenance of electricity distribution substations, reliability surveys, mobilization and installation of supporting equipment, as well as simulations of electrical reliability scenarios.
