Allegedly Electric Short Circuit, Mitsubishi Grandis Burned Near Tangsel City Terrace Intersection

TANGERANG - Mitsubishi type car caught fire on Jalan Rawa Buntu, Cilenggang, Setu, South Tangerang. The fire was allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit in the engine.

The Commander of the South Tangerang Fire Department (Danton), Imam, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 12, in the morning.

"That's right, one car caught fire. It is suspected that it was an electrical short," he said.

Imam explained that at the time of the incident the vehicle was passing at the crime scene (TKP) smoke and fire came out. Luckily, the driver and passenger immediately got out of the vehicle.

Then the driver contacted the South Tangerang Damkar for assistance in extinguishing the fire. Three firefighters and dozens of personnel were deployed, and the fire was extinguished.

"Now it's out," he said.

Imam memastikan tidak ada korban jiwa dalam insiden tersebut. Namun kerugian akibat mobil terbakar itu mencapai puluhan juta rupiah.

"Losses of Rp. 30 million, one person with minor injuries may be limp. 3 people survived," he concluded.
