JAKARTA - RZ (19) could only surrender to lament his fate in the East Jakarta Metro Police prison cell after being arrested by the police after molesting RA, a 3-year-old boy in a rented room.

Although the perpetrator has regretted his actions, the threat of imprisonment for 15 years is waiting for him.

"Yes, I regret it. I apologize, I continue to pray every night for his illness (RA victim) to recover," said suspect RZ at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Monday, December 11.

At the time of the incident, RZ admitted that he had abused RA (3) several times.

"(The victim) I picked him up, I dragged him, I grabbed him. There I strangled (his neck) too," he said.

Suspect RZ said that victim RA was his girlfriend's nephew. RZ admitted that he was annoyed with the victim RA because the victim often cried. In fact, suspect RZ just came home from work.

"I was annoyed, after returning home from work on the motorbike, the child often cried. It's been twice (persecution)," he said.

A toddler with the initials RZ aged 3 years was tortured and abused by a man who is also the girlfriend of the victim's aunt.

As a result of the abuse, victim RZ suffered bruises, broken necks and burns due to cigarette burns.

The mistreatment of the poor toddler took place in a rented house located on Jalan Kecubung, Batu Ampar Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta.

Victim RZ is still undergoing intensive care in the Picu room of the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

The act of persecution and torture was also recorded by the victim's biological aunt's cellphone. Based on the recording in the video, the victim was caught being slammed, checking and slowed down by cigarettes by the perpetrator. The head of the local RT, M Sapri (51) said the perpetrator's torture action against the victim began with the report of the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

The National Police Hospital suspects bruises, cigarette burns on several parts of the victim's body.

"I know because I was summoned to the Resort Police, I found out that it was not too certain. His son was taken to the Police Hospital, maybe he had just been found out there. If the Police had a domestic violence incident on the child," Sapri told reporters, Sunday, December 10.
