The Indonesian Air Force Calls The Cause Of The Fall Of The Super Tucano Plane Still Being Investigated

JAKARTA - Head of the Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) Marsma TNI R. Agung Sasongkojati said that the investigation process related to the Super Tucano plane crash that occurred in mid-November 2023 still needed further investigation. This was revealed by Agung after the handover of the position (sertijab) of the Commander of the National Air Operations Command (Pangkoopsudnas) and the Commander of the Indonesian Air Force's Doctrine Development Command, Education and Training (Dankodiklau) which was held at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Friday, December 8, was confiscated by Antara. "For Super Tucano, at this time almost all aircraft wrecks can already be taken, but (investigation) further investigation is needed regarding the cause of the accident," he said. He admitted that the investigation process of the Super Tucano plane crash did not yet take a long time and it is still unknown when this investigation will end. "The time is not yet, I haven't seen, because it depends on the investigation. If the material will certainly take time, said Agung.' When asked for a response regarding the plan to involve the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), Kadispenau revealed that the Indonesian Air Force will still see the progress of the investigation process. "According to the direction of the KSAU, we will involve other parties if necessary. Currently, there is no direct involvement with the KNKT. However, if later we need assistance, of course we will ask KNKT for help," said Agung.

Sebanyak dua pesawat tempur taktis EMB-314 Super Tucano TNI AU jatuh di lereng Gunung Bromo, kawasan Taman Nasional Gunung Bromo, Tengger, Semeru, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Jawa Timur (Jatim), Kamis 16 November, saat awaknya menjalani sesi profisiensi latihan formasi bersama dua pesawat tempur Super Tucano lainnya.Lokasi jatuh dua pesawat itu berupa medan terjal dan berbukit. Tim investigasi dari Pusat Kelaikan dan Keselamatan Terbang Kerja TNI AU (Puslaiklambangjaau) bersama Skadron Teknik (Skatek) Lanud Abdulrachman Saleh Malang berhasil tiba lokasi pada Jumat 17 November.Insiden jatuh dua pesawat itu, yang masing-masing bernomor registrasi TT-3111 dan TT-3103, menyebabkan empat awak gugur, yakni Marsekal Pertama TNI (Anumerta) Subhan, Marsekal Pertama TNI (Anumerta) Widiono Hadiwijaya, Kolonel Penerbang (Anumerta) Sandhra Gunawan, dan Letkol Pnb (Anumerta) Yuda A Seta.
