JAKARTA - Fighter jet supplied by NATO member countries to Ukraine will be a legal target for Russian troops, reminding the risk of direct military clashes with the alliance to increase, said Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova on Wednesday.

"The combat jet involved in the conflict on the Ukraine army will be the target of legal destruction from wherever they fly," said the Russian Diplomat, commenting on the prospect of sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, launching Tass 6 December.

"The risk of direct military clashes between Russia and NATO is increasing," he said.

It is known, NATO member countries have long discussed the shipping of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

"(They) have formed a coalition of separate countries that will hand over the fighter aircraft to the Kyiv regime and train the Ukraine pilot," said Zakharova.

"Considering that most of the Ukraine airport infrastructure has been destroyed, it does not rule out the possibility that this American fighter aircraft will be placed abroad, namely in Poland, Slovakia and Romania," said the Russian Diplomat.

"Therefore, the North Atlantic Alliance is increasingly ensnared in the Ukraine conflict and, in reality, as we understand, involved in a hybrid war against our country with the slogan saving Ukraine," concluded Zakharova.

Reported earlier, Denmark and the Netherlands are known to be two NATO member countries who plan to send F-16 fighter jets, quoted from Reuters. Denmark promised 19 fighter jets, while the Netherlands did not yet know how many to be sent, but the first six units were predicted later this year.
