Contracttror's Tricks With Bank Employees, Release Credit For Road Development In Banten

TANGERANG - The Tangerang District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has named the Operational Manager of Bank Banten Tangerang Branch with the initials RW as a new suspect in the Bank Banten corruption case.

Status determination based on the Suspect Determination Letter (SPT) of the Head of the Tangerang District Attorney's Office Number B-5772/M.6.12/Fd.1/12/2023, 04 December 2023.

Currently, the suspect has been detained based on the Detention Order Number PRINT-1394/M.6.12/Fd.1/12/2023 dated December 4, 2023.

"Detention is carried out for 20 days at the Class IIB Serang Detention Center from December 4 to December 23, 2023," said Head of Intelligence at the Tangerang District Attorney's Office, Doni Saputra in his statement, Wednesday, December 6.

Meanwhile, the Head of Special Investigation Unit of the Tangerang District Attorney's Office, Fariando Rusman, explained the initial disclosure of the alleged corruption practice.

It was stated that there was a collusion of bank employees who acted as Account Officer of Bank Banten, EB with a contractor, namely the Director of CV Langit Biru, AA.

These suspects have disbursed CV construction working capital loans. Blue Sky in 2017 at Bank Banten without paying attention to credit disbursement conditions.

After the credit disbursement was made, CV. Langit Biru did not pay the loan, resulting in bad credit. With a loss value of around Rp. 743 million.

"CV. Langit Biru did not pay the credit, resulting in bad credit. With a loss value of around Rp. 743 million," he explained.

In the process of disbursement, EB acts as an Account Officer and should apply for the credit under the name CV. Langit Biru is not by another name.

Therefore, the officer indicated that there was an alleged collusion between brother AA as a creditor and EB as an employee of Bank Banten. This is because there is a lack of submission files but they are still disbursed and credit is disbursed.

"The results of the investigation, the two suspects have fulfilled two pieces of evidence. This EB provides a smooth credit to CV Langit Biru for working capital for road construction," he explained.

He explained that the money received by CV Langit Biru from Bank Banten credit had never been paid. So that state losses if totaled reach Rp873 million.

"The state loss of Rp.873 million and the credit obtained has never been paid by CV Langit Biru. This CV applies for credit for the construction of road construction sourced from the Tangerang Regency APBD for the 2017 fiscal year," he said.

Currently, both of them have been detained and entrusted to the Serang Rutan House for the next 20 days. They were charged with Articles 2 and 3 of the Corruption Crime Act.
