Candidate In Madiun Arrested In Theft Case, Unresponsibility Of His Action Already 18 Times

MADIUN - A candidate for legislature (caleg) of the Madiun Regency DPRD, ADK (25) was arrested by the Madiun Police Criminal Investigation Unit for stealing. The action of the ADK gang has been 18 times since 2019.

Now he was forced to languish in the detention of the Madiun Police to account for his actions.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Madiun Police, AKP Magribi Agung Saputra, said that his party arrested ADK and a colleague of BP at a boarding house in Bangunsari Village, Dejayan District, Madiun Regency.

Both of them are perpetrators of theft by weight and specializing in breaking into shops and empty houses.

This case was revealed when BP took action by breaking into a grocery store in Delopo District, Madiun Regency. He did not realize that his action was recorded by CCTV cameras. In this action, BP managed to steal Rp 40 million in cash.

"For his role, ADK is a car driver, or driver, or used to escort the main perpetrator," said Magribi.

He explained that the main actor who became the executor was BP who was also a recidivist with the same case in 2017.

From the confession of the two, it is also known that they have carried out their actions in Madiun in four places.

Meanwhile, when asked about the motives of the ADK who was determined to steal even though he was a legislative candidate from one of the political parties, his party would still investigate it. However, his party is currently conducting investigations and detention of the ADK.

"There are two suspects for a while, but one person is still a DPO, so there are a total of three people," said Maghribi.

From the results of the investigation, it is known that this ADK syndicate committed theft in various regions, such as in Ponorogo, Ngawi, Magetan, and Nganjuk.

It is also known that this gang has carried out its actions since 2019 with a total of 18 theft locations.
