Gibran Claims To Be Ready To Ladeni The Challenges Of The Vice Presidential Candidate Debate

Surakarta Mayor and vice presidential candidate number two Gibran Rakabuming Raka admitted that he would follow the procedure related to the presidential-vice debate. "Let's just follow, I'll follow," he said in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, December 5. Asked about whether he was willing to take part in the debate in an old format, he admitted that he would follow. "I'll just follow it," he said. Previously, the KPU emphasized that the debate of presidential and vice presidential candidates was carried out by referring to the Election Law. The 2024 presidential election was held three times for presidential candidates and twice for vice presidential candidates. KPU member Idham Holik said he would convey to the campaign team to present all candidate pairs in every debate session. Idham said it did not violate the legislation. For the debate the presidential and vice presidential candidates will be held five times, the first will be held on December 12 with the theme of Law, Human Rights, government, eradication of corruption, and strengthening democracy. Furthermore, the second debate was held on December 22 with the theme of defense, security, geopoliticals, and international relations. For the third debate held on January 7 with economic theme (activity and digital), social welfare, investment, trade, taxes, infrastructure, finance, and management of the state budget.

For the fourth debate on January 21, 2024 with the theme of energy, natural resources, carbon, food, environment, and agrarian society as well as indigenous peoples. Fifth debate on February 4 with information technology themes, improving public services, hoaxes, intolerance, education, health, and employment.
