The Latest Bogor City UMK 2024, Increased To IDR 4.8 Million

West Java Governor Bey Machmudin has just set the 2024 UMK for 27 City Regencies in West Java, including for Bogor City.

In the 2024 UMK data for City Regency in West Java, which was determined by West Java Governor Bey Machmudin, the 2024 UMK for Bogor City was set at IDR 4,813,988.

The amount is in accordance with the recommendation proposed by the Bogor City Government, which is an increase of 3.76 percent from the 2023 UMK, which is IDR 4,813,988.

However, the recommendation of the 2024 UMK proposed by the Bogor City Government is still far from the expectations of the workers, who want to increase by 11 percent.

West Java Acting Governor Bey Machmudin said the 2024 UMK in Bekasi City was the highest in West Java, with a value of IDR 5.3 million.

Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin said, the determination of the minimum wage for 27 regencies and cities in West Java still uses a scheme in PP 51 of 2023.

"Use PP 51 of 2023, that is our basis, because we can only be in that corridor," said Bey Machmudin, Thursday, November 30, 2023.

He said the West Java Provincial Government used the regulation. Although, there are 13 regencies in West Java that ask not to use these rules in determining the 2024 UMK.

"UMK 2024 is the highest in Bekasi city with IDR 5,343,430. The number of UMK 2024 for West Java is from IDR 2 million to IDR 5 million, yesterday, yes (lowest) Banjar City, which is IDR 2,070,192," said Bey Machmudin.

Previously, the Bogor City Government finally approved the request of the National Workers Union (SPN), which requested a recommendation to increase the 2024 UMK to the West Java Provincial Government.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya recommended adjusting the 2024 UMK with an increase of 3.76 percent, from the 2023 UMK, which was IDR 4,813,988.
