Kamtibmas Raid, 60 Bodong Motorcycles Seized By Jayapura Police

SENTANI - Jayapura Resort Police (Polres) secured 60 motorbikes in the 2023 Kamtibmas raid. Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus WA Maclarimboen, through Traffic Head Iptu Baharudin Buton in his statement, said the raid was carried out on Thursday, November 30 night. This time the targets are sharp weapons, liquor (alcohol), prohibited documents, vehicles that are not equipped with documents or driving equipment," he said, quoted by ANTARA. According to Buton, approximately 250 Jayapura Police personnel were deployed at the 2023 Kamtibmas raid. He explained, in the Kamtibmas raid, dozens of motorbikes were secured because they did not have vehicle documents.

"The result was that 60 motorbikes were secured, with various violations, besides that there were also two sharp weapons in the form of kasuari and rencong bones," he said. "Our hope is that security and public order will be maintained," he said.
