Winning AMIN, PKB Instructs Members In The DPR To Campaign Door To Door

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) continues to finalize its strategy of winning the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or AMIN pair and achieving the target of 100 DPR seats in the 2024 General Election. One of them is by boosting the intensity of voter greeting from door to door.

"We instruct all members of the PKB faction of the DPR RI to come down. We directly greet their constituents door to door, face to face in their respective constituencies. This direct greeting is important as a place for socialization as well as absorption of aspirations," said the chairman of the PKB faction of the DPR, Cucun Ahmad Sjamsurijal, in the Consolidation of the PKB faction of the DPR at the Mercure Convention Center Ancol Jakarta, Thursday, November 30.

Cucun said the 2024 election had different characteristics from the previous elections. According to him, this election is still dominated by young people, both Millennials and Gen Z.

"They have a unique character that is critical, easy to access information, and tends to understand their rights and obligations. With a character like this, legislative candidates cannot be just promises without explaining their steps and commitments," he said.

Cucun revealed that based on the KPU's Permanent Voter List (DPT), the number of young voters reached 56.45 percent of the total voters. This number consists of millennials as many as 66,822,389 voters or 33.60 percent of the total voters. Then from Gen Z as many as 46,800,161 voters or 22.85 percent.

"From this data, it takes an intensive special approach for young voters. And the PKB faction instructs members to go directly to the field if they don't want to pass through the 2024 election," he said.

Cucun said the presence of AMIN pairs could also be a value for PKB cadres to approach young voters. He explained that AMIN pairs have special programs for young people such as providing jobs of up to 15 million within five years, providing 2 million residences near the city center at affordable prices, as well as providing 100,000 education student duties for undergraduate and doctoral levels every year.

"The existence of PKB General Chair Gus Imin as a vice presidential candidate must also be a selling point in itself because we can submit concrete work program offers related to urgent issues for young people both in the employment sector and in the field of education," he said.

This member of the AMIN National Team Advisory Council emphasized that the target of winning the AMIN pair and achieving 100 seats in the DPR RI in the 2024 election is the fixed price for PKB. According to Cucun, 58 members of the PKB faction of the DPR RI are the main backbone.

"So we continue to consolidate, finalize strategies to achieve as much sympathy and voter support as possible," he concluded.
