Ganjar Respects Gimmick 'Gemoy' But Reminds Young People To Be Educated

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate (candidate) number three, Ganjar Pranowo respects the gimmick presented by other couples in the 2024 presidential election. However, Ganjar emphasized that education must also be given, especially novice voters.

This was conveyed by Ganjar when asked about the gimmick or the role of his political opponent, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The number two presidential candidate is often called a gemoy or echo because of his style.

"I respect people's gimmicks, but today young people must be educated," said Ganjar at the head office of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI), Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 30.

Ganjar quoting author Okky Madasari, young people can actually be offended if political gimmicks continue to be presented. So, they need to be educated.

"I read who Mbak Okky Madasari is, he said we young people are offended if we are just given a gimmick, then we need to educate political education based on what the program is for young people," he said.

Ganjar also meets some young people and they don't like gimmicks. Although not allergic in this way, the substance must also be prioritized.

"When I meet young people, not all young people like games," he said.

As previously reported, Ganjar also mentioned that novice voters were not interested in the vision and mission of the couple in the 2024 presidential election. They enjoyed the gimmicks or role games presented by the election participants.

"Many media friends asked me what the vision and mission was, what the program was and so on, in voters, especially beginners, were not interested, who were more interested in gimmicks," said Ganjar at the event, Thursday, November 30.

This condition makes Ganjar think that there are differences in opinion with the researchers. He said, they always said that democracy could work if all candidates could convey their ideas and ideas.

In addition, candidates should also be able to offer solutions when they are elected. Thus, Ganjar prefers to offer this so that the public can judge.
