The Chaos Of The Puskesmas Project On The Land Of RTH Kayu Putih: Residents' Mediation With The East Jakarta City Government Failed, The Mayor Was Not Present

Residents of RW 01 Tanah Mas, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, failed to attend an audience with the Mayor of East Jakarta regarding the problem of land transfer of Green Open Space (RTH) which will be built by the Puskesmas building.

The failure of the hearing process was due to the absence of an agreement from both parties between residents and the Head of RW 01 and the Mayor of East Jakarta which is planned to attend the audience agenda at the East Jakarta City Government on Tuesday, November 28.

"(The audience was postponed) Because Mr. Imson (Chairman of RW 01 Kayu Putih) was not present, finally at the reschedule, was postponed," said Godham, a resident of RW 01 Kayu Putih when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, November 29.

In addition, the Mayor of East Jakarta, M. Anwar, who directly invited the Head of RW 01 Kayu Putih, was also not present at the audience agenda. The Mayor of East Jakarta was represented by the Government. This also made residents of RW 01 Kayu Putih disappointed.

"Those who attend should be the mayor, because those who invite the mayor. Why should they be replaced with part of the government?" asked Godham.

Even the residents' disappointment peaked when all residents of RW 01 Kayu Putih who were present at the East Jakarta City Government were not allowed to enter the audience room by the East Jakarta City Government ASN.

"Not all of us can enter, the reason is the limited place. Those (ASN present at the hearing) do not have an official memorandum," he explained.

Due to the absence of a meeting point regarding the invitation to attend, the hearing process between residents of RW 01 and the East Jakarta City Government regarding the conversion of the green open space function to the Puskesmas finally failed to be held.

This polemic occurs when there is a plan to build a Puskesmas building on the land of RTH Tanah Mas. The case began to emerge because of complaints from local residents.

Residents of Tanah Mas housing, RW 01, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta complained about the plan to build a Puskesmas that was occupying Tanah Mas Green Open Space (RTH).

All residents of RW 01 objected to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's plan for the construction of the Puskesmas project. The reason is, residents of RW 01 need more green open space in their area.

Residents of RW 01 also claimed that complaints about the rejection of the conversion of land for this park were also supported by 9 other RWs in Kayu Putih Village. The RWs that also support the residents of RW 01 are RW 03, 04, 05, 06, 10, 14, 15, 16 and RW 17.

"Residents have never rejected the construction of a health center but please not on green open space, not only green open space in Tanah Mas but in green open space anywhere, just don't," said Godham, one of the residents of RW 01 Tanah Mas Housing to reporters, Wednesday, November 22.

Godham assessed that the existence of green open space in the RW 01 area is very important for residents.
