APEC Summit, Jokowi Holds Meetings With Papua New Guinea And Fiji

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo held a trilateral meeting with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape and Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka on the sidelines of holding the APEC Summit in San Francisco, United States, Thursday, November 16 local time. Based on information received in Jakarta, Friday morning, during the meeting, President Jokowi emphasized that Indonesia would continue to be committed to making the Pacific Area peaceful, stable, and prosperous.Turut accompanied the President in the trilateral meeting, namely Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan. Previously, the President also attended APEC CEO Summit which was held at Main Ballroom, Moscone West, San Francisco, United States. On that occasion President Joko Widodo called for Indonesia to be the right and promising choice for investors to invest.

One of the reasons for this is because Indonesia's economic growth is predicted to grow well and a number of potentials are owned by Indonesia. President Jokowi also said that in addition to having great potential, starting from natural resources to human resources, Indonesia also has a strong commitment to creating a conducive and competitive investment climate.
