Deadly Accident In Karangasem Bali, 6 Dead-9 Injured

KARANGASEM - A fatal accident occurred on Jalan Raya Nongan - Bangli, precisely in Banjar Dinas Sigar, Nongan Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency, Bali. Six people were reported dead.

The six victims who died were Ni Luh Kantun, I Komang Wikrama Yogi Arta, Ketut Mangku, Gede Silayasa, Nyoman Ayu, and Ni Made Riati.

Meanwhile, nine injured people were recorded, namely, Ni Luh Suari, Ketut Siti, Luh Suci, Kadek Dewi, Kadek Wnda, Nyoman Dayuh,

Ketut Arta, Ni Nengah Buda and I Gede Dana.

"Currently, the victims who died are still at the Rendang Health Center and seven injured are still being treated at the Rendang Health Center and two injured have been referred to the Bali Med Karangasem Hospital," said Rendang Police Chief, Kompol Made Suadnyana, Thursday, November 16.

A fatal accident occurred at 17.30 WITA. The minibus with police number DK 7075 SY was suspected of having failed brakes until the vehicle slid uncontrollably on the downhill road. The minibus hit I Nyoman Sudana's car.

"(Toyota Dyana Rino By 34) is parking on the left side of the road from Bangli to Nongan," he said.
