14 Embarkation Used For 2024 Hajj Pilgrims

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas said as many as 14 embarkations were planned to be used to organize the 1445 Hijri/2024 AD pilgrimage.

"In the implementation of 1445 Hijri/2024 AD, the number of Hajj embarrations is 14 embarkations that we will use," said the Minister of Religion in a working meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Yaqut detailed the 14 embarrations, including Banda Aceh (BTJ), Kualanamu (KNO), Padang (PDG), Batam (BTH), Palembang (PLM), Jakarta Pondok Gede (JKG), Jakarta Bekasi (JKS).

Then Solo (SOC), Surabaya (SUB), Banjarmasin (BDJ), Balikpapan (BPN), Ujungpanjang (UPG), Lombok (LOP), and Kertajati (KJT).

"Embarkation of Kertajati will transport pilgrims from Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, Kuningan, Sumedang, and Subang," he said.

Yaqut said that in the context of improving services in the embarkation, one-stop service will be implemented.

These services include health checks, distribution of congregational identity bracelets, living costs, passports, boarding passes, and visas upon the arrival of pilgrims at the reception hall building.

"So that it can provide the opportunity for pilgrims to rest longer and prepare physical conditions before physical worship in Saudi Arabia," he said.

While in the Hajj dormitory, pilgrims will be given three meals and two snacks before departure. Meanwhile, when they return home, they will be given one snack.

Previously, the Government proposed an average cost of organizing the Hajj pilgrimage (BPIH) 1445H/2024M of Rp109 million. This amount is greater than the previous year's implementation of Rp90 million.
