Elderly Rampage At Magelang Private Hospital, Use A Knife Threatening His Friend Who Is Being Treated

This incident involved two victims who were immediately handled by the medical team after the Magelang City Police arrested the perpetrators.

The Deputy Chief of the Magelang City Police, Kompol Budi Fajar Wisnugroho, said that from the initial examination, the evidence found that the perpetrators talked about supernatural things.

The chronology of the incident began with the perpetrator with the initials JN (55), an elderly man (elderly) who was an old friend of the victim. The victim himself has been treated from November 4 to the time of the incident. The perpetrator argued to look at the victim, but there was an argument that led to persecution. The hospital immediately contacted the police after the incident.

According to information obtained from the adopted child of the alleged perpetrator by the investigative team, the perpetrator has undergone treatment at a mental hospital. Currently, the police are conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the perpetrator's mental health background.

"Currently, we are consulting the alleged perpetrator to a doctor at the Magelang City mental hospital," said the Deputy Chief of the Magelang City Police, in a written statement, Sunday, November 12.

The victim with the initials EL suffered injuries to the arms and thighs, while the victim with the initials LL suffered injuries to the temples, arms and back. The police explained that the tool used by the perpetrator was a sharp knife-shaped weapon.

The two victims are currently undergoing intensive care for the recovery of the injuries they suffered.

From this incident, while securing the perpetrator, Brigadier Helmi Setyawan, a member of the Magelang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, secured the perpetrator from behind. At that time, he was accompanied by the Magelang City Police and accompanied by the hospital, he was reducing the anger of the perpetrators. Then Brigadier Helmi with his heroic actions was able to paralyze the perpetrator who was holding a knife at that time.

"Members carry out their duties as members of the Police by committing their actions which are deemed necessary to secure the alleged perpetrators," concluded Kompol Budi Fajar.
