Central Java Police Guarantee Security During The U-17 World Cup In Surakarta

SURAKARTA - Central Java Police guarantee that the U-17 World Cup which will last for 22 days (10 November - 2 December 2023) at Manahan Stadium Solo will not interfere with the traffic flow of the surrounding community.

This was conveyed by Karo Ops of the Central Java Police Kombes Pol Basya Radyananda with the Head of Humas Kombes Pol Satake Bayu, in a written statement, Sunday, November 12.

However, his party will continue to monitor traffic flow through hundreds of CCTVs spread throughout Solo Raya and if possible, current engineering will be carried out to create smooth traffic flow for the community.

"We use 232 CCTVs to monitor traffic flow, the CCTV is connected to the Command Center located at the Surakarta Police Headquarters," said the Head of Humas.

In the Operation of the Police codenamed Safe Bacuya 2023, the Central Java Police deployed 3,616 personnel to secure the World Cup, 17 U-17 World Cup Security Posts were also established in the Solo Raya area during the international football event.

"We have prepared 17 security posts spread across areas throughout Soloraya, specifically for postal personnel of approximately 1,657 personnel," he explained.

On that occasion, Karo Ops Polda Central Java Kombes Basya Radyananda said that the security was carried out to provide guarantees to FIFA and the entire community that the Central Java Police were ready to secure the U-17 World Cup.

"Security has been carried out since the players and officials came to Solo City, starting from Adi Soemarmo Airport, Boyolali Regency, then hotels, field assistants and Manahan Stadium," he said.

The security will be held in three zones carried out in collaboration between the FIFA official and the National Police. The security of the First Zone in the Manahan Stadium Tribune is manned by FIFA stewards and officials, while the National Police is responsible for security in zone Two, in the Manahan Stadium area and Zone Three outside Manahan Stadium.

"We want to provide certainty to FIFA and supporters, as well as fans that the Central Java Police are ready to secure the World Cup," he said.
