Due To Cigarette Benefits, The Warehouse Belonging To The DKI Regional Government Almost Caught Fire

JAKARTA - A pile of wood in a building belonging to the DKI Jakarta Regional Government, Jalan Cipinang Baru Raya, RT 02/18, Cipinang Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta suddenly caught fire, Monday afternoon, November 6, at around 17.00 WIB.

"The fire has been extinguished by residents. We only took data at 17.28 WIB. The object caught fire piled up with wood," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when contacted by VOI, Monday, November 6.

According to Gatot, the flames only burned a few pieces of wood with an area of about 2 meters. Luckily, the fire did not spread and spread to other buildings because it had been extinguished by residents.

"The cause is suspected to be because the cigarette butts were thrown away. The location belongs to the DKI Regional Government," he said.

The cigarette profit was allegedly thrown away by irresponsible people, causing a puff of smoke and fire.

"Had caused smoke. We also deployed 2 fire engines to the location," he said.
