Case Of Alleged SYL Extortion, Firli Bahuri's House Was Ransacked By The Police

The residence of the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri in Kertanegara, South Jakarta and at Villa Galaxy, Jaka Setia, South Bekasi, Bekasi City, West Java was searched by the police.

The search is suspected to be related to the alleged extortion case by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL).

The police have not confirmed the news of this search. However, Rony Napitupulu as the head of the RT Firli Bahuri residence in Bekasi confirmed the search information. "There is, there is a search," said Rony, Thursday, October 25.

Rony said a number of police personnel were on standby at the house. However, the number and unit of police did not specify. "Already (many policemen)," he said.

Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri's residence is on Jalan Kertanegara number 46, South Jakarta. So far, the search process has not been carried out.

Dozens of police were only seen in front of the house with gray paint. Possibly, the police officer came from Polda Metro Jaya. This is because the vehicle from the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya appears.

In the process of investigating the case, investigators have examined 54 witnesses. Some of them, such as Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that it had handled reports of alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL). The report is in the form of public complaints (dumas). Currently, the case has gone up to the investigation stage after his party conducted a case title on October 6, 2023.

In the case title, Polda Metro Jaya found allegations of corruption cases in the form of extortion or receipt of gratuities or receipt of gifts or promises by civil servants or state administrators related to handling legal problems at the Ministry of Agriculture from 2020 to 2023.

Polda Metro Jaya has also examined a number of witnesses related to the case. As of Tuesday (24/10/2023) Polda Metro Jaya has examined 54 witnesses in this case, including former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, personal driver SYL, personal aide SYL, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2007-2011 period Mochammad Jasin, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015-2019 period Saut Situmorang, Director of Public Reports and Complaints (Dumas) Tomi Murtomo, Aide de Camp (ADC) or aide to the Chairman of the KPK Kevin Egananta, and Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar who is also the husband of SYL's nephew.

Firli himself has undergone an examination at Bareskrim Polri Tuesday (24/10/2023). The chairman of the KPK was examined for about 7 hours. Dirreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak did not specify the number and the question material in the examination of Firli Bahuri. Ade only said that Firli Bahuri was still a witness.
