JAKARTA - Hashim Djojohadikusumo was moved and happy for the declaration submitted by the Indonesian Ulama Santri Forum (FUSI) for the presidential and vice presidential pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The support and declaration was delivered at the book review event "The reason why choosing Prabowo" which took place at the Acacia Hotel Jakarta, Pusat, October 24th night.

Prabowo Subianto's younger sibling could not express his appreciation and grateful for the trust given by FUSI. "I was touched and very happy. That has been more than 28 years Mr. Prabowo has been a member of GP Ansor. This means that he has become a NU extended family. Mr. Prabowo's relationship with Gus Dur, NU and GP Ansor has always been very close," he said.

"Why we declare and support the Prabowo-Gibran pair because both are the right leaders for the future," he stressed.

He added that despite difference of ages, both of them are good combinations. "Mr. Prabowo has broad leadership experience, including in the military and politics. He has a good reputation as a firm and disciplined leader, but also has the ability to lead with wisdom and prudent," he said.

In addition, Mr. Prabowo has shown his commitment to advance the country and improve the welfare of the people. "Its clear vision and mission to develop infrastructure, improve the quality of education and strengthen the country's defense is very relevant to the current needs. We are sure this pair will be elected as future leaders of Indonesia, that is the reason why FUSI declared support for Prabowo - Gibran pair," he stressed.
