Densus 88 Arrest 3 More Terrorists Anshor Daulah Network In NTB: A Week 9 Suspects

JAKARTA - The National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 arrested three terrorism suspects in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) region. They are the Anshor Daulah network.

"Three suspects were arrested in NTB from the Anshor Daulah group network," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Friday, October 20.

However, it was not conveyed in detail about the identity and timing of the arrests of the three terrorists. Only conveyed in this week, the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 arrested 9 suspects in terrorism cases.

"Yes, nine (terrorist suspects) are AD and JI (Jamaah Islamiyah) networks," said Ramadhan.

Detachment 88 Anti-terror Police previously also arrested 6 suspects suspected of being involved in terrorism networks. They were arrested in West Kalimantan and South Sumatra.

"Densus 88 AT Polri arrested 1 suspected terrorist from the Anshor Daulah network in West Kalimantan," he said.

The arrest of one terrorist suspect in West Kalimantan was carried out today. He is said to have entered the Anshor Daulah network.

Meanwhile, for the South Sumatra region, Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested five suspects on Wednesday, October 18. They are said to be related to the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network.

"5 suspected terrorists of the JI network in South Sumatra," said Ramadhan.

Previously, the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the deployment of the Brata Operations Force 2023-2024 said that in the context of securing the 2024 election stages, his staff had ordered their staff to anticipate acts of terrorism by taking preventive strike steps or prevention techniques with action.

This step was taken so that the incident in the 2019 Election where there were six acts of terror not repeated in the 2024 General Election. Therefore, the ranks of the National Police were asked to be serious in preventing terrorism.

Moreover, there is a war between Hamas and Israel being resolved where this can have an impact on the situation in the country.
