Riau Police Propam Checks The Sector Police Chief Brings Corruption Prisoners On Roads To Check Palm Oil Gardens

PeKANBARU - The Profession and Security Division of the Riau Regional Police examined the Bungaraya Police Chief, Siak Regency, AKPSELAMET, who brought out the suspect in the alleged corruption case from the detention cell without coordinating with the prosecutor's office.

Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Hery Murwono, said that AKP SelAMEt was still undergoing examination after being picked up by the Riau Police Propam officers on Wednesday (18/10).

"Again in the process (of examination)," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.

When asked whether AKP SelAMEt would be given a special placement (pathsus) or detained, Hery had confirmed this. "Obviously (path). It's still in process," he added.

Bungaraya Police Chief AKP SelAMEt was caught bringing out the suspect in the Suparmin corruption case from the police detention cell on Saturday (14/10).

Initially, the detainee, who was entrusted by the prosecutor's office, admitted that he was sick, so he was taken to the Tengku Rafian Siak Regional General Hospital, but was said to be closed.

After that, they went to the oil palm plantation which was said to belong to Suparmin in Rawang Air Putih Village, Siak District.

Based on photos and video recordings spread across messaging and social media applications, Suparmin is seen wearing a sarong and shirt without handcuffs.

Suparmin, who is a state civil servant at the Siak Regency Agriculture Service, has been named a suspect in the alleged corruption of misappropriation of subsidized fertilizers in Kerinci Kanan District in 2021. He was named a suspect along with six other people.

Currently, Suparmin has also been transferred from the Bungaraya Police detention cell to Siak Police by the Siak District Attorney.

Previously, the Head of the Siak District Attorney's Office, Tri Anggoro Mukti, said that the transfer should not happen again so that the Adhyaksa Corps detention incident would leave the cell without coordination.

"Yes, that's right, for the sake of security and no more similar incidents have occurred," said Tri Anggoro.
