JAKARTA - Royal Enfield has partnered with Taiwanese modification house, Rough Crafts, to release a limited edition Shotgun 650. Only 100 units are made for the world market, with 25 units allocated for the entire Asia Pacific region.
MotorCycleNews (MCN) quoted Wednesday, July 15, saying that each motorcycle has its own production number. The remaining units are evenly divided for India, Europe, and North America. Each region also gets 25 units.
In the UK, the Shotgun 650 Rough Crafts is sold for 8,150 pounds sterling. This model is inspired by the Caliber Royale, a modified motorcycle that was first introduced at EICMA 2025 and was again exhibited at the Royal Enfield Motoverse event in the same year.
Mechanically, the Rough Crafts version is no different from the standard Shotgun 650. The bike still uses a 648 cc air-cooled, oil-cooled, twin-cylinder engine.
The engine produces 46 hp at 7,250 rpm and torque of around 53 Nm at 5,650 rpm. The steel backbone frame, Showa suspension, Bybre brakes, and 240 kilogram curb weight are also retained.
The main change is in its appearance. The body combines Gloss Jet Black glossy black and Matt Stealth Black matte black. The two are separated by a gold leaf-lined line with gray accents on the body panel.
The edition number is printed on the tank. Royal Enfield also installed a collaboration emblem made of cast brass, as used on the Caliber Royale.
Other touches include black mirrors at the end of the handlebars, a stitched pattern leather seat, aluminum rims with contrasting details, and gold front fork tubes.
Buyers also get a numbered print containing the sketch of Caliber Royale. The gold-colored image with a black background was designed and signed by Rough Crafts founder Winston Yeh.
The Caliber Royale was built with a 650 Shotgun as a base. Rough Crafts made it proportionally longer, installed a special fairing or front cover panel, combined glossy and doff paint, and added gold leaf details and a slight change to the frame.
"This edition carries a design language inspired by Caliber Royale and in line with Rough Crafts' signature in blending black and gold," said Royal Enfield's Head of Custom and Motorsport, Adrian John Sellers.
According to Sellers, the limited edition brings a simple but aggressive Caliber Royale shape to riders in various countries. The model also shows that the Shotgun 650 can be processed in many modification styles.
Royal Enfield previously used a similar pattern when working with Icon Motosports from the United States in February 2025. At that time, the company made 100 units of a special edition Shotgun 650 at a price of 7,399 pounds sterling. A total of 25 units were allocated for Europe.
The Rough Crafts version follows the same regional breakdown, but is sold at a higher price. Compared to the standard Shotgun 650, the price difference is 1,301 pounds sterling.
Sales are not made through regular ordering at the dealer. Prospective buyers must register first before participating in online sales which are opened gradually based on region.
Registration begins on July 15 via the Royal Enfield website. For the UK, sales open on July 27, 2026 at 18.00 local time.
A total of 25 first buyers who complete the transaction in each region will get the motorcycle.
