After The Constitutional Court's Decision, Gerindra Has Not Yet Decided On The Vice Presidential Candidate To Accompany Prabowo

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party elite gathered at Prabowo Subianto's residence. Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Budisatrio Djiwandono, said that there had been no decision regarding Gibran Rangkabuming as a vice presidential candidate from Prabowo.

The meeting was held until around 23.00 WIB. Budi said that his party appreciated the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the granting of a judicial review lawsuit regarding the minimum age requirements for presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"I don't know about that. Once again we appreciate what has been decided by the Constitutional Court regarding who will advance, I think this is open to people who have criteria like today decided by the Constitutional Court," said Budi.

Budi emphasized that there has been no decision regarding the Constitutional Court trial. He also mentioned that there are four names based on the area that are still talking about.

We are still talking about the four names. First, yes, what is often informed is also a few days or one name outside Java Island, one in West Java, one from Central Java, one from East Java. I think, in the next few days there will continue to be consolidation of communication with parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia coalition," Budisatrio eyes.

The names still have to be discussed in a slightly longer process. This is because the General Elections Commission (KPU) still provides a deadline for registering presidential and vice presidential candidates from 19-25 October 2023.

He said that the development of political parties was still dynamic and could change every hour. He admitted that his party always respects the Constitutional Court's decision. "We both respect the political process," he concluded.
