BANDA ACEH - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said five districts in Aceh Province had flood alert status triggered by high intensity rainfall, after the westernmost province of Indonesia began to enter the rainy season.

BMKG Class I forecaster Sultan Iskandar Muda Aceh Besar Nofrida Handayani Sodik said that of the 23 regencies/cities in Aceh, five of them have flood alert status in the next few days, namely Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Singkil, Southwest Aceh, Nagan Raya, and Central Aceh.
