Jokowi Cancels Attending The 2023 Mandalika MotoGP Event

He said the Mandalika 2023 MotoGP event would be attended by the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno to watch the iron horse jockeys compete at the Mandalika Circuit.

"All aspects of security have been carefully prepared," said Dansubsatgas Mandalika Circuit, Lt. Col. Kav Andi Yusuf Kertanegara.

The Subsatgas Circuit, which is responsible for security and order around the circuit, stated that the security team had worked closely with related parties to ensure activities were carried out smoothly and safely.

"In accordance with the instructions and directions as well as the command line, we have ensured that all necessary security measures have been taken, starting from planning, preparation to the end of the activities to be carried out."

"We and the team have increased surveillance around the circuit area, installed additional security equipment, and carried out intensive coordination with related parties, including the police and other relevant agencies," he said.

Furthermore, Lt. Col. Andi Yusuf Kertanegara also said that the security team had carried out various simulations and deployments of troops and joint exercises to deal with various situations that might occur during work visits and MotoGP performances.

"We are ready to face all possibilities to ensure the safety of all parties involved in this event, including the Republic of Indonesia and the spectators and racing participants who will compete," he added.
