Palestinian President Calls Arab Countries, Stops Israel's Aggression In Gaza

JAKARTA - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held talks with a number of Arab state leaders to emphasize the importance of stopping "Israel's aggression in Gaza".

According to the Wafa News Agency as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10, Abbas called Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) to inform the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Saudi Arabian News Agency (SPA) said during the call, MBS "enforced the Kingdom to make every effort to involve all international and regional parties to stop the ongoing escalation and prevent further spread in the region."

Palestinian President also called Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II and Emir Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Foreign Minister also had a conversation with her Arab counterpart to discuss political support for Palestine in the face of Israeli attacks.

The Palestinian group Hamas launched Operation Hurricane Al Aqsa against Israel on Saturday (7/10) by firing a series of rockets and infiltrating Israel by sea, land and air.

Hamas said the sudden attack was a retaliation for the raid on the Al Aqsa Mosque in the occupied area of East Jerusalem and the increasing violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians.

In return, the Israeli military launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza increased to 704, including 143 children and 105 women, the Ministry of Health, based in Gaza, Tuesday morning.

According to him, the number of injured victims also increased to around 4,000 people.

Meanwhile, it was reported that 900 Israelis were killed and more than 2,600 others injured in the fighting, according to Israel's Ministry of Health.
