Police Investigate Cause Of 39 Residents In Garut Mass Poisoning Sate Jebred

Garut Police conducted an investigation by collecting evidence of food remains and statements from witnesses and victims to find out the cause of 39 food poisoning residents and had to be treated at the Cilawu Health Center, Garut Regency, West Java.

The Garut Health Office noted that 39 people were poisoned, most of whom had been allowed to go home, eight people were still being treated, and two people died.

"The Garut Police will continue to carry out investigations to find the cause of the mass poisoning," said Head of Cilawu Police, Kompol M Duhri, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.

He said his staff together with the Garut District Health Office immediately went to the field when they received information that residents were being treated for poisoning eating satai jerred or satai kulit, Monday (9/10).

The incident, he said, initially there were 13 people receiving treatment, and two people died.

"Two other people died as a result of alleged poisoning of satai jebrud food in Cilawu District," he said.

The police have investigated the community, and also took samples of vomit and food consumed by the victim.

In addition, he said, satai sellers have also been secured to undergo further legal examination.

"The satai processor and dealer were secured at the police station, and transferred to the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit for investigation and investigation," he said.

Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan said the case had been handled by the police to examine satai jebred traders.

In addition, he continued, the food residue that had been consumed by the victim was also examined for laboratory tests.

"The sample has been sent to our lab, the results have not appeared yet," he said.
