The investigating team of the South Aceh District Attorney has named two suspects in the alleged corruption case at the Yuliddin Away Regional General Hospital (RSUDYA) Tapaktuan.
South Aceh Kejari Chief Heru Anggoro said the case against the two suspects was suspected of misuse of the budget for the procurement of a hospital management information system with a contract value of Rp. 5.1 billion.
"The two suspects have the initials F and RY. F is the Director of BLUD at Yuliddin Away Hospital, while RY is the Director of PT Klik Data Indonesia, a company that is a hospital partner for the procurement of a management information system," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 9.
To facilitate the investigation, the two suspects were immediately detained for the next 20 days and deposited in the Class II B Tapaktuan Detention Center.
Investigators suspect that the two suspects violated Articles 2 and 3 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) of Law Number 31 of 1999 which was changed to Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
In uncovering the alleged corruption case, added Kajari, investigators have searched Yuliddin Away Tapaktuan Hospital and confiscated a number of documents as evidence.

"Investigators have collected evidence in the form of documents and examined 18 witnesses related to the alleged corruption in the procurement of a hospital management information system. It is possible that there are also new suspects in this case," he continued.
The alleged corruption case originated from the program to procure a hospital management information system with a contract value of IDR 5.1 billion and used the budget for the 2015-2015 to 2019 year.
However, in its implementation it is suspected that it is not in accordance with specifications so that it has the potential to harm state finances. Based on the results of the investigation, it was found that there were around Rp1.82 billion in temporary state losses.
"To be sure how much the state lost, investigators are still waiting for the results of the calculation of state losses by the Aceh Provincial Inspectorate auditor," said Kajari.
