Mahfud MD Gets Information From The Minister Of Agriculture SYL Suspect, NasDem: Since When Has The Coordinating Minister Become A KPK Spokesperson?

General Treasurer (Bendum) NasDem Ahmad Sahroni questioned the statement by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD who claimed to have pocketed information regarding the determination of Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL as a suspect in alleged corruption. According to him, the determination of a suspect in a criminal act of corruption is under the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He also admitted that he was surprised because so far the KPK has not provided an official statement regarding the existence of a suspect in a corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture that dragged the name of the Minister of Agriculture SYL. "I was a bit surprised if Mr. Mahfud suddenly became a KPK spokesman, while it was actually the KPK who had to answer officially, but so far the KPK has not provided an official statement whether the Ybs (in question) is a suspect or not, it's usually the KPK if you want to generalize it, the person will be immediately detained normally, but this is not yet, it's surprising that Mr. Mahfud commented on this, that it is already a suspect," said Sahroni at the Nasdem Jakarta Headquarters, Wednesday, October 4. Sahroni assessed that the information obtained regarding the Minister of Agriculture SYL was a suspect in alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture based on access owned by Mahfud MD as a Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. "Since when did the Coordinating Minister become the spokesman for the KPK? It's a bit surprising, it's just that the Coordinating Minister may get information from people who can be given that information," he said. Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD admitted that he had pocketed information about the determination of Minister of Agriculture SYL as a suspect in a suspected corruption case. However, Mahfud was reluctant to reveal further when the KPK announced the determination. Regarding the existence of Minister of Agriculture SYL, Mahfud said the government is the same as the public who questioned where the former Governor of South Sulawesi was after a working visit to Europe last weekend. "That he (Syahrul Yasin Limpo) has been named a suspect, I have received information. If the exposure has been long, but officially (the status) of the suspect has been held," said Mahfud MD at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 4.
