Ahead Of The 2024 Presidential Election, The Public Is Asked To Learn To Manage Political Situations

JAKARTA Deputy Chairperson of the Gelora Party, Fahri Hamzah asked the public to be able to learn to manage the situation and political conditions ahead of the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres) so that horizontal conflicts do not appear as in the previous presidential election.

According to him, irrationality attitudes tend to make people think less about substantive and ideal matters for the nation in the future, because they prioritize sentiment.

"Whatever the results later, our society must be more moderate and more proportional. So that the Pilleg and Presidential Elections that take place simultaneously can run well and there is no potential that endangers us," Fahri said in a written statement, Thursday (28/9).

He hopes that all parties will be able to think of national interests.

Thus, the presidential election can run peacefully and safely and there will be no division in society.

This, continued Fahri, made the Gelora Party support Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in 2024.

"Because we want the sustainability of the national agenda, namely reconciliation on one hand and on the other there is a legacy of Pak Jokowi that must be continued," he said.

He considered that the things that Jokowi had done, such as the construction of IKN and high-speed trains, could not be canceled.

This is because the effect is too great for the people if it is canceled considering that the costs that have been invested are very large.

"It's a pity for the people who have invested hundreds of trillions, if they are stopped because of different political choices. That's why we support Pak Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election and we pray together to win," concluded Fahri Hamzah.
