Paid Below IDR 10 Million During Online Gambling Promotion, Cupita Cupi: Very Small

JAKARTA - The Cupi Cup singer is said to only get a small fee when promoting online gambling. The nominal is said to be only under Rp. 10 million.

"It's like 10 (Rp10 million) down, very small," said Cupi Cupita lawyer Hengky Solihin to reporters, Tuesday, September 26.

According to him, the small payment was because Cupi Cipta did not immediately receive it. But there are pieces from other parties.

"Not so big. Because it's not directly to Cupi, yes, there are several parties again," he said.

On the other hand, Hengky also conveyed the reason his client accepted the job. This is also said to be one of the questions asked by investigators.

Cupita Cupi got the job from a trusted person. Therefore, not a few were suspicious that the promotional match was included in the online gambling category.

"Why do you want to endorse it, because the person who gave this order is a trusted person, who has been giving the same job orders, such as soap operas, such as singing, so it's just believed, that's all possible in the past," said Hengky.

Cupita Cupi has finished undergoing an examination related to the online gambling promislation at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. About 20 questions have been asked by investigators.

Cupita Cupi is the third artist who has been questioned about online gambling promotions. Previously, Bareskrim examined Wulan Guritno and Yuki Kato.
