Jokowi Scheduled To Open The National Conference Of The 2023 PBNU Large Conference In East Jakarta

JAKARTA - PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf said President Joko Widodo was scheduled to open the National Conference (Munas) Alim Ulama and the Nahdlatul Ulama Grand Conference (NU) on September 18, 2023. The PBNU Consulate was held at the Al-Hamid Islamic Boarding School, Cilangkap, East Jakarta. "God willing, it will be opened and attended directly by Mr. President Joko Widodo, there has been coordination with the palace protocol regarding this," said Gus Yahya in a press conference at the PBNU Building, Jakarta, Friday, September 15, which was confiscated by Antara. Gus Yahya said the implementation of the National Conference of Kombes NU will take place Monday to Wednesday (18-20 September 2023). National Conference (Munas) Alim Ulama is the highest forum after Muktamar in the Nahdlatul Ulama organization. In the NU House Budget (ART) resulting from the 34th NU Congress in 2021 in Lampung, it is stated that the munas will be held at least twice during the solemn period of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU).

The forum specifically discusses religious issues followed by NU administrators, boarding school caregivers, as well as scholars, and experts in their fields. The National Conference has been held 14 times since it was first held in Yogyakarta in 1981 until the last year in Jakarta in 2021. Each National Conference forum resulted in important decisions in the religious field at its time. there are a number of topics that will be discussed in the NU Kombes National Conference such as NU matters as well as the life of the nation and state, domestic issues or problems in the country, to related to global issues. According to him, currently, three provinces are ready to run these programs at the village level, namely in East Java, Central Java, and DIY Yogyakarta.
