JAKARTA - The Danish government has again announced plans for additional assistance to Ukraine, which this time has a value of 5.8 billion Danish krona (IDR 12,840,177,941,400), including tanks, Infantry fighting vehicles, tank ammunition to anti-aircraft weapons, the country's Ministry of Defense said.

The distribution of aid this time will be carried out in three stages. The first is Denmark's 4.3 billion krona this year, Denmark's 1.4 billion krona next year and Denmark's 52 million krona by 2025.

"After more than a year and a half of war, we are running out of our defense stock. Therefore, we are now looking for more directed joint procurement and international cooperation, which is tailored to Ukraine's current needs," Danish Foreign Minister Lars L wayokke Rasmussen said in a statement.

This is the twelveth and largest donation package Denmark has sent to Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February 2022, according to the ministry.

In addition to the previous aid package, Denmark also promised last month about 19 units of F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine that could be delivered around the end of the year, when pilot training lasted four to six months was complete.

Danish Defense Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen said last month Kyiv would only be allowed to use the F-16s donated by Denmark and the Netherlands in its own territory. It is known that the Netherlands, which has 42 F-16 fighter jets, has not yet mentioned the number to be delivered. However, the first six F-16 fighter jets are predicted to arrive in Ukraine later this year.

"We donated weapons on condition that they were used to expel enemies from Ukrainian territory. And nothing more than that," Minister Ellemann-Jensen said, citing The National News.

"That's the condition, whether it's tanks, fighter planes or something else," he said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is grateful for the support of fighter jets, where he assesses the importance of air superiority to support his country's retaliatory attacks.

"Thank you very much! Thank you for your attitude to our people, to Ukraine! For all your families, all your homes, all your people, all your cities! Thank you very much, Denmark!" President Zelensky shouted during a speech outside the Danish Parliament Building when visiting the country last month.
