PPP Intensify Communication With PDIP, Sandiaga Taps Heaven's Door About Vice Presidential Candidates

PPP General Chairperson Muhamad Mardiono said the party bearing the Ka'bah symbol would intensify political communication with PDIP following the KPU's plan to advance the schedule for registering presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres).

"It (submitting the schedule) would be better," said Acting Chairman of PPP Mardiono in Padang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 9.

Mardiono also ensured that the party he commanded immediately intensified political communication with PDI-P, including with other supporting parties in responding to the KPU's plan.

In fact, the party carrying the slogan "Maintaining Unity with Development" stated that it was ready if the KPU advanced the registration schedule for presidential and vice-presidential candidates later.

Nevertheless, Mardiono emphasized that support for the KPU's steps as long as it does not violate the laws and regulations mechanism.

Mardiono said PPP also did not question if Ganjar or PDI-P chose the former Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil as the pair who would fight at the five-year democratic party.

In fact, Mardiono welcomed it if more and more children of the nation wanted and had the same ideals in building the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"So, building this nation must be together. The more we build political forces, the sooner we make a decision in order to produce a policy that prospers the community," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) PPP Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the determination of the vice presidential candidate was entirely under the authority of PPP General Chair Muhamad Mardiono.

"For the matter of determining the presidential and vice presidential candidates, he (Mardiono) will answer it. I will focus or maximize our efforts and knock on the door of heaven," he said.

Sandi explained that the "gate of heaven" in question is that the party will hold a khataman assembly every night until the determination of October 10, 2023. Through this religious agenda, it is hoped that party cadres and leaders will get blessings.

"We hope that the leaders will have blessings and wisdom in determining the vice presidential candidate who will accompany Mr. Ganjar Pranowo," said Sandi.
