Anies-Cak Imin Supporting Political Parties Continue To Use The Name Of The Change Coalition

JAKARTA - Political parties supporting the Anies Baswedan-Cak Imin pair will still use the name of the Coalition for Change even though there is a request from the Democratic Party to replace it.

However, the name of the Change Coalition is still equipped with the term 'For Unity', PKB and NasDem are still discussing it together. "Approximately what is almost approved is the Coalition for Change," said Deputy Secretary General of PKB Syaiful Huda to reporters, Friday, September 8.

Huda said that his party had no problem with the name of the Change Coalition previously formed by NasDem, PKS and Democrats. Even though it is internal to PKB, he said, the names of coalitions such as the Coalition for Change Awakening have emerged.

"We don't have a problem even though we also have a suggestion, it's also a personal view. We just make a name, for example, the Coalition for Awakening for Change. Or maybe (coalition) Awakening and Change. Can it be?" he said. Meanwhile, Deputy NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali emphasized that the political parties supporting Anies-Cak Imin still use the name Coalition for Change for Unity. Ali said his party did not agree if the tagline "change" was claimed to be the idea of the Democratic Party. Because, according to him, the term change is also attached to his party. "It really doesn't fit if the word 'change' is claimed by a certain party that it is their idea. The idea of the narrative of the change was the narrative that NasDem Party brought to Nasdem Party when it was first founded," Ali said in NasDem Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 6. Previously, Member of the High Council of the Democratic Party Syarief Hasan asked Anies Baswedan and his coalition partner to change the name of the Coalition for Unity (KPP). Syarief views the idea of change from the beginning of coming from the Democratic Party.

"Idea Perubahan adalah original dari PD (Partai Demokrat) sehingga tetap menjadi tema misi PD ke depan," kata Syarief, Minggu, 3 September.

Syarief said that the Democratic Party had even echoed the 14 agenda changes that were immediately conveyed by the Chairman of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). He advised the coalition supporting Anies to look for other names.
